Give a couple more years, and we’ll forget Will Young rose to fame from a reality TV show. The boy has done remarkably well to shed off the shame that comes with the aftermath of winning what was effectively a game show and (gasp!) can now be considered a ‘serious’ performer. Onto album three and following on from previous single, the uber-camp ‘Switch It On’ (well, the video was so gay), this time Young has opted to strip off for ‘All Time Love’ but no, not like that at all. It’s the bare minimum – a gentle ballad with just Young’s vocals over piano and strings. Sounds tough to stomach, and perhaps even dull but give it a few listens and it seeps through. More memorable than his past ballads, it could become a modern classic – and it won’t damage your street-cred to admit to falling for this. (3½/5)
