Do you know something? The other day, I was asked if I had decided to stop writing the weekly editorial – the page that was cruelly dubbed a ‘Sex & The City’ type column though I regard that as a compliment. Well, my lovelies, I’m here now! Does that answer your question? It shouldn’t come as a surprise to find someone else ranting on the editorial now and again – makes a nice change plus it gives me a break. Actually, it gives you all a break from me. Any way I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Jonathan Waterlow and Shiny Sonia for putting their individual spin on this page.
So what’s been happening lately? *sigh* Well thank goodness January is over because it’s been a jolly well miserable month – certainly for me. The only highlights were acquiring a set of Little Miss Naughty pyjamas with a Twister game theme (though they could easily be mistaken for Smarties), which are so fantastic, and a phone call from someone really nice in Hawaii. I’m sorry but I just couldn’t get that flight out to Honolulu…
Oh yes, and I just remembered something else – I popped into a shop to stock up on erm, hosiery (of the fishnet variety – look, I go through them at an awful rate and they cost £5 a pair!), and I got 80% off two pairs each! I’m not sure if it was an error from the shop itself but I wasn’t going to dispute being undercharged so as a result, I was quite a happy bunny at my savings. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for a make-up trade show I went to at the weekend. I’m still mourning the cost of the entry fee – £35. Bloody outrageous and it wasn’t very big at all. But I behaved myself and only bought more eyeshadows and a couple of brushes. *gulp* So come on then, who wants me to give them a make-over?
The weekend just gone was also devoted to examining this site so I met up with Ryan and our webmistress Sok Yee and let’s just say, expect some changes. Perhaps you’ve noticed a few already. If so, tell me what you think. Also, we’ve re-launched our goodie bag competition with a twist.
News just in – Lisa’s going to be visiting London for about a week next week – can’t wait! My first guinea-pig for a make-over in ages…honey, I’m taking you to MAC!
Hope you enjoy the latest reviews including Arctic Monkeys, Sparks, El Presidente, Harpies (which strangely enough reminds me of a brand of toilet cleaner) and Coheed & Cambria. Aren't we good?? Ooh, and guess what, I've got an album sampler from The Zutons. Going to give that a spin now...
