Sheenie Snow hopes to slip on something silky
By Afsheen Shaikh
Monday, 15 May 2006

Yeah, so my editorials are becoming quite sporadic, or as Hungo would like to put it bluntly, “You really can’t be bothered any more, can you?”  Small-yet-perfectly-formed Daniel also added his two pence worth, something along the lines of me being “lazy” and to “hurry up and write an editorial – it’s only 400 or 500 words!” We’ll see what you’ve got to say about that, Mr Brigham when it’s your turn in a few weeks to do exactly that.

I am deeply apologetic for skiving from this page for what seems like ages…question is, did you miss me? It would be nice if once in a while you spoke to little old me…

So! What has been happening lately? Well, I got a new hat – number 64, I think. It’s another summery Stetson but this one is dark chocolate in colour. Alright! Can’t wait to wear it just as soon as the sun comes out. I’ve also got a silk tie to add to my wardrobe, a special silk tie…a special Snow silk tie. Do you see where I’m going with this? You see, I have the best buddies anyone could ask for. Let it slip that you are fond of something or someone, and they’ll go to any lengths to make me smile and Lisa has by buying me a tie worn and signed by Jon Snow from a charity auction. Be still my beating heart! It’ll go great with my Jon Snow Andy-Warhol print type t-shirt… I can’t wait to receive it in the post and wear it. I’ve never worn a tie before. I don’t even know how to tie one up properly but I’m sure someone will show me how to. Check this page next week for proof!

Now here comes a big sigh…nothing excites me right at the moment (well, the tie thing lasted about 30 seconds). I don’t know why and I don’t know what’s wrong. There’s been a burst of the old waterworks too – gosh, it is bad then! I’m bored of shopping (which is great because I can now save for once) and new music is so dull too. I’ve got the new Keane album (not out till June) and despite having it on repeat, it hasn’t sunk in. Some of it is quite er, scary. Makes you wonder just what they were thinking when they penned this album. Put it this way, there’s no party in my pants when I listen to this CD! Oh well, perhaps it will grow on me...

In other news, one of our writers is auditioning for The X-Factor this week. Good luck, sweetheart but you won’t catch me on something like that. I would rather streak through Oxford Street than go on a show like that. The same goes for Big Brother. Hell, the seventh series starts this week and naturally I’ll be watching if I can’t find anything else better to do.
