AC/DC: Stiff Upper Lip Live

 Both of these titles have previously been available as individual products and despite the addition of a cardboard slip case that houses them, there are no actual extras. One can only assume that this has been released especially to attract the Christmas market, whilst hoping to cash in on the recent live show at Hammersmith and possibly even the renewed interest in ‘cock rock’, following the rise of bands such as The Darkness.
Nevertheless, for any AC/DC fan that doesn’t already own these two live DVDs and has decided to purchase them, they won’t be let down. Stiff Upper Lip, filmed in front of 80,000 fans at Munich Stadium in 2001 is a stunning 21-song set, which boasts blistering performances of tracks like ‘Hard As Rock’, ‘Stiff Upper Lip’, ‘Highway To Hell’ and ‘Thunderstruck’ and is enhanced by plenty of bonus material, including backstage footage and interviews with the band.
No Bull, meanwhile, comes from a few years before, when in 1996 they took on the Plaza Do Toos De Las Ventas in Madrid, where they thrilled a capacity crowd with all of their biggest tracks, which included ‘For Those Of You About To Rock (We Salute You)’ and the brilliant ‘Back In Black’. Bonus material comes in the shape of a video clip from ‘Hard As Rock’ as well as an informative AC/DC documentary.
Definitely worth adding to your collection, but not if you already own the DVDs individually! You have been warned.
