 It’s open to debate, in a chicken-and-egg sort of a way, which came first: the saying or this song. What’s beyond doubt, however, is how influential Ian Dury was, spawning imitators of the ilk of Suggs and Damon Albarn. And this 30th anniversary re-release celebrates one of Britain’s finest singer-songwriters on peak form.
