Originally recorded by avant-garde Icelandic string quartet amiina, long-term collaborators of their equally enigmatic compatriots Sigur Rós, for their debut album, this year’s ‘Kurr’, vocals courtesy of the late and (truly) great Lee Hazlewood bolster this festive version. Listen with a handkerchief close by, as this is It’s a Wonderful Life remade as a song.
