Destined to a future life as a footballer’s ringtone, Jay Sean’s first single in three years sees the Hounslow artist offer a more (street-)credible rendition of Brit R&B than the genre’s fading force, Craig David. With a voice silkier than your average kimono, Sean probably pulls using the medium of song. What’s more, this track, taken off upcoming album My Own Way, finds the twentysomething born Kamaljit Singh Jhooti bouncing back in style after being dropped by Virgin Records in 2006.
