A curiously bloodless affair for a band with such a sanguinary moniker, ‘Promises’ is the first single off those friends of Zane Lowe’s sophomore album, Stars and the Sea. Very much indie-rock by numbers, there is nevertheless a certain East London charm about Chris Peck and co. Hailing as they do from Leytonstone, birthplace of Mr Cheeky Chappy himself, Jonathan Ross.
