An enigma of a band, Seattle’s Death Cab for Cutie have always lacked the edge their name posits. They are the pop minus the snap and crackle of lead singer Ben Gibbard’s side project, The Postal Service. Make that were as this oozy, woozy single hypnotises you for a full four minutes and forty seconds before you realize the vocals haven’t kicked in yet.
