Blimey, the last time I was on this page was six months ago! So much for my new year’s resolution to stay devoted to this page every week… Well, I thought it was high time I came back and attempted to resurrect it, not to mention update you on the happenings of the first half of 2008 and look ahead to nose-diving down the remaining six months. Gawd.
The site has certainly been kept fresh with an abundance of reviews, mostly from our Matthew while I deal with wedding invitations and deciding which shoes to wear for them. I'm only looking forward to one wedding this summer - the nuptials of sweet Lucy to James. Most weddings I go to are of people I don't know and usually heaving with 600 nameless bodies of which I'm one of them. Just a bum on a seat. But Lucy and James's affair will definitely be something to marvel at. I know you don't know them but I do!
As I type this, I’m finalising my questions for Aussie cherub Gabriella Cilmi. I love Australians, me. I’ve interviewed so many…Jason Donovan, Jet, Alan Fletcher (Dr Karl Kennedy off Neighbours), Darren Hayes and now the Sheila who warbles “nuthin’ sweet about meeee”. I should be made an honoury Australian citizen for my effort and support. Gabriella’s only 16, which makes me reflect my own life and wonder what on earth I had achieved at 16. I can’t even bear to tell you how many years ago that was as well.
Any hoo, I’ll be catching Gabriella exercising her vocal chords live on American Independence Day as she supports The Feeling on the iTunes Festival at London’s KoKo. What a mouthful that was. I’ve also been listening to Coldplay’s new album, and as those close to me know, I’m far from attentive when it comes to Chris Martin’s idea of music. Suffice to say I’ve amazed myself at listening to each track from Viva La Vida repeatedly so that gives you an indication that I like it.
By the way, I’ll be dropping by to see Russell Brand next week. Obviously a lot of things haven’t changed in six months. Look out for more exciting gubbins on these pages then. Especially by me which is a rare thing.
