Crimea, the country, boasts the longest trolleybus route in the world, 96 km from Simferopol to Yalta. The Crimea, the band, released the world’s first free album in 2007, before the likes of Radiohead and Coldplay got in on the act. All this though pales into insignificance when you hear lead singer Davey Macmanus’ vocals which recall the sensation of watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the first time i.e. haunting as hell but strangely compulsive too. And what’s more this single, yet another freebie, with its dramatic sweep shows The Crimea’s gesture is more full than empty.
