You squirmed during the 'toy car up the ass' bit, clenched the arms of your cinema seat in the 'paper-cut' scene and laughed so much that it hurt when Party Boy was let loose in Tokyo. Now you can re-live some of those 'joyful' moments with the official soundtrack from the bollock-quaking Jackass movie.
The Jackass TV series not only brought the most mind-boggling stunts to the reality, it usually had a kick-ass soundtrack to boot. From Dolly Parton to The Ramones, it slotted in nicely. The official Jackass soundtrack keeps the shopping cart rolling with a mix of classic tracks from the likes of The Ramones and The Misfits and fresh new material from the Knoxville clan's favourites CKY and Andrew WK.
Appropriately kicking off with the opening one-liner "Hi, my name is Johnny Knoxville, welcome to Jackass!" from PJ Clapp, the album contains the superb theme tune 'Corona' from Minuteman, CKY's 'Flesh Into Gear' and 'Let's Get Fucked Up' by Smut Peddlers (great name!) Not only that, but Sir Mix-A-Lot's 'Baby Got Back' makes an appearance and (my ultimate favourite), the Party Boy theme pops up as the hidden track. Add to that, a bonus video of Andrew WK's 'We Want Fun', which features the cast (and large doses of Party Boy being rather obscene). Actually, the Andrew WK track gets a bit irritating after a few listens, simply because it sounds the same as his usual pap.
So, there we have it. Rude, crude and just right, dude. Too bad the collection didn't include enough classic quotes from the movie. (4/5)
