Limp Bizkit: Behind Blue Eyes (Flip/Interscope)
By Afsheen Shaikh
Monday, 24 November 2003

Ho-hum, Limp Bizkit have covered The Who's 'Behind Blue Eyes', the second single from the Results May Vary LP and as featured on the soundtrack for Gothika.  Nope, never heard of it either.

Largely an acoustic number (trampled over by an irritating electro-voice sampler bleeting 'L-I-M-P' over and over - thanks, Lethal), Durst pours his heart out and locks lips with Halle Berry in the accompanying video, who, to be honest, looks quite minging with long, curly hair.  More intriguing is a half-naked Durst at the start of it, displaying tattoos of Kurt Cobain and Elvis Presley's faces, and erm, a toned chest.  I'm sure some kind of camera trickery was used to magic out the beer belly.  He's definitely wearing foundation.

"No one knows what it's like to be the bad man, to be the sad man..."  Poor baby.  Other than the massive open air free gig they played at Finsbury Park three months ago, it's been a very low-key affair for Limp Bizkit and 'Behind Blue Eyes' is no exception. Blink and you'll miss this.
