Indie's favourite darlings of the moment, Keane, chalk up single three off their double platinum debut Hopes & Fears. ‘Bedshaped’ is the chosen one, a favourite amongst fans and incidentally the closing track. Two top three singles, a number one album and their upcoming autumn tour stripped off tickets by hungry punters, nothing will (and should) stand in their way of another inevitably lucky strike. No surprises why.
In awe of their ability to pen atmospheric, catchy songs bursting with emotions, ‘Bedshaped’ only reiterates Keane’s stance as a band confident of itself – and deservedly so. A delicate, piano-led ballad with Tom Chaplin’s powerful vocals shining through, the composition is clever, captivating and courageous. If you haven’t given Keane a thought for a minute, listen to this and you’ll realise the fuss is really worth it. (4/5)
