Hat Binging
By Afsheen Shaikh
Wednesday, 25 August 2004

I’ve just got over a bout of flu since last week, felt poorly after the raw king prawns I had for lunch on Monday, didn’t go to see Fountains Of Wayne on that very night as a consequence of that lunch (thanks a bunch, M&S) and I have nothing remotely interesting to say in my editorial this week which is also late.  Does bad luck come in threes? Wait a minute, that’s four things.

Well, I am pleased to announce I acquired another hat over the weekend (a camel-coloured corduroy cap) – it’s number 27!  And I hate it already.  It must be a compulsive hat-buying disorder I am guilty of because it looked fantastic at the time but when I wore it later, it just didn’t have the same oomph.  And that goes for the other 26 hats too.

Other than that news flash, I really don’t have anything interesting to say.  And I can’t be bothered to give everyone a mention.  Apart from Matthew, who flew off to Las Palmas (and left us behind) last week.  He’s hating it already so if you’d all like to club together and get this ‘Free Matthew’ campaign off to the ground, he’ll be absolutely chuffed to bits.  Choking back the tears in fact.

By the way, I am appalled nobody bothered to comment on last week’s hot topic so I suppose I’ve saved myself the bother this time.  What is the message board for?  Say something on it, people!

Let me go this time and I’ll come back next time with something more substantial.  But it will be Tuesday as it’s a bank holiday on Monday 30 August.  Yay!  Right, I’m off – cheerio!

P.S: Reuben (who are on a UK tour from 02 to 08 September) get the thumbs up for sending us a massive stick of rock.  Hurrah!  Thanks a lot!  Now maybe the rest of the bands out there will pull their finger out and show their generosity.  And how about an i-Pod too?

A spanking new editorial awaits your perusal...
