My weekend got off to a bad start when I discovered the store I usually get my crateload of Lucozade from was out of stock of the fizzy nectar stuff.  I managed to live without for two weeks but the thought of going without for what could be indefinitely fills me with immense fear.  And shock too.  

Fortunately my spirits were uplifted from watching taped episodes of Channel 4’s new hospital themed sit-com Green Wing (Yes!  My video recorder taped them all in my absence!).  It is the best thing I’ve seen on telly for ages.  Sod Scrubs! 

I kept replaying one particular scene which had us in stitches (good pun!) – Guy (Stephen Mangan) ogling at a drunk Caroline (Tamsin Greig) dancing at her housewarming party before (in a bid to seduce her), he casually creeps up to her in the most cringe-worthy dance moves since David Brent and all to the tune of Spiller’s ‘Groovejet’. Of course it isn’t funny to most of you but it kept me entertained for hours.
