White Noise (15)
By Tiltuesday

It’s been a while since this reviewer has seen a film with Michael Keaton in it, so it was a nice surprise to have the best Batman and Beetlejuice back on the screen again.

Director, Geoffrey Sax’s White Noise explores the Electronic Voice Phenomenon – communicating with the dead by recording in empty rooms – with an unsettling angle, watching architect Keaton struggle with the unexpected death of his wife and the subsequent conviction with the help of believer Ian McNiece that she is trying to talk to him through the white noise of his TV.

This is an interesting idea that sadly has too many plot holes as it progresses. There is nothing wrong with the performances and it makes the audience jump in the right places, but ultimately it leaves more questions than answers. Good weekend entertainment, but little more.
