The first thing you ought to know about Kate is she and Afsheen both went to the same school – an all girls in fact. The second thing is she has an MA in English.  The third thing is she jacked in her PhD after a few months. The fourth thing – right, OK, that’s enough!

By day, Kate's a Production Editor for an academic publisher in the big smoke. By night, she is painting the town red, hanging out at gigs or (Lord have mercy) at raves in the middle of the night. 

When it comes to music, she counts The Klaxons, Gay Against You, Lost Penguin and Aphex Twin amongst her favourites. Kate also scopes MySpace for new bands, and spends hours making her own page look pretty. Find it here at www.myspace.com/kinneykat.

So you think you’ve figured Kate out as an indie-kind-of-happening-lit chick with a brain? Not quite. Kate’s a stylish lady, always knowing how to dress for an occasion and topping it all off with a funky hair-clip, which she cites as another one of her vices. Please note her favourite shops are Accessorize, Sister Ray and Reckless Records on Berwick Street. 

Something you didn’t know about Kate: she’d like to form a band sometime in the future as an antidote to everyday boredom. Not quite sure of what type yet but let it be known that Kate has achieved all her grades in playing the piano and can sing very well.  We have the tapes somewhere…
