Paul hails from Huddersfield and is Kate’s boyfriend.  He is obsessed with The Beautiful South, as well as many other bands including Godspeed You Black Emporer, Primal Scream, Slipknot, Squarepusher and Autechre but he doesn’t share Kate's love of The Others and Art Brut, which has led to spats.  Hmm, wonder if the missus won...

Not only does Paul contribute his vast knowledge of music to this site, he works in a store full of them for a well-known retailer, which was founded by some bearded bloke called Branson.

In his spare time, Paul writes poetry and stories brilliantly (so says the missus) and is learning to play the guitar.  Maybe that thought of forming a band isn’t that far off, Kate!
