OK, it’s quite obvious the changing of the editorials is unpredictable. Ideally (and theoretically) there should be a new one every Monday but now that idea has been momentarily discarded in place of whenever it is humanely possible for me to piece together my thoughts for the week in an entertaining manner and just for your pleasure.
So, after all that, I’m here again and I’m pleased to inform you I’m feeling more optimistic this time. I’ve got back into the swing of things and can promise you uk-fusion will be bringing you some really top-notch things. If the fact I’d been bribed for Stereophonics tickets for their recent secret shows last week in which we ran a competition for, is anything to go by (yes, you read that correctly and it was in the form of money), even I can’t imagine what more could be in store. I can only look ahead to the immediate future for which I’m excited about, provided I don’t lapse into one of my moods and consequently cause delays due to individuals peeing on my firework.
By the way, I gave into the Lucozade over the weekend and upped the dosages to make up for the lack of consumption over the past five days. However, I haven’t touched a drop since Sunday so I’m managing to stay ‘sober’ for the duration of the working week. I wish the same could be said about my intoxication for retail therapy…that’s a story I’ll save for another time.
The first month of 2005 has drawn to a swift close and in this week alone, Michael Jackson’s trial has kicked off and hot on the heels of Busted, Mis-Teeq too have called it a day. Who? Blink and you are forgiven for having no idea who they were. One of them appeared in N.E.R.D’s ‘She Wants To Move’ video but some publications have inaccurately said it was a Pharrell Williams video. No! Get your facts right, Victoria Newton (The Sun’s Bizarre columnist). Newton makes no bones of the fact she ‘discovered’ The Darkness, and that The Sun were single-handedly responsible for launching the band’s career. And pigs do fly, you know.
Last but not least, I’d like to introduce you to this lady pictured next to me. Her name is Kate, she’s a Libran and she’s one of the latest recruits to uk-fusion, as is Paul. Do make them feel at home, won’t you? |
